Kit and Isaac Johnson Expand Their Vision With FullBucket

[DENNIS, TX] – Kit and Isaac Johnson are the founders and trainers of Rockin X, in Purcell, Oklahoma, where they run and manage A Horseman’s Academy, an immersion experience in the art of horsemanship.

Is there anything better than that?!

Between their competition horses and the horses in A Horseman’s Academy, Kit and Isaac manage about 60 horses at any given time.

When bringing horses into their program, the Johnsons say that they look for “young horses that have the athletic potential to compete at a high level. We have both running-bred and cow-bred horses and hope to make the perfect balance of agility and speed to have top performers.”

The Johnsons power their horses with FullBucket equine probiotic pellets and say that they never leave home without their equine probiotic paste in case they find themselves with a stressed horse.

Kit and Isaac first met while attending a Buck Brannaman clinic and together, have big dreams in the equine industry. We’re big believers that true love starts with horses, in one way or another!

Here’s a little “She said, He said” about the couple behind Rockin X:

Kit and Isaac Johnson

1) Kit competes in barrel racing and breakaway roping, while Isaac competes in the reined cow horse and ranch roping.

2) Kit got started with horses as a young girl on her family's ranch in North Dakota. She rode young horses and competed in youth rodeos and 4-H shows under the trusted guidance of her parents who both competed in various horse events.

After college, Isaac met horseman Buck Brannaman and began studying under him while on the road for a decade doing horsemanship clinics. He had the opportunity to work with many different kinds of horses and people for a rare, invaluable experience. Isaac has competed in ranch ropings for many years and recently stepped into the world of reined cow horse and competed in The World's Greatest Horseman competition.

3) Kit looks up to talented futurity barrel racers, such as Ashley Schafer and Kassie Mowery. Isaac’s mentor for many years has been Buck Brannaman, as well as some of the top cow horse trainers in the industry.

4) The Johnson’s stallion is SMOOTH FAMOUS GUY who is by A SMOOTH GUY and out of ONE FAMOUS FEATHER who is by ONE FAMOUS EAGLE.

Isaac's great mare is XARIA WHISKEY FEVER who is by MOVING EASY WHISKEY and out of TIP TOE FEVER who is by PLAYBOYS BUCK FEVER.

5)Kit's favorite horse she had the honor of training and competing on was a grulla mare named Cricket.

Isaac's great mare X has a great story of overcoming adversity and is his favorite.

6) This year in terms of most anticipated events, Kit looks forward to watching the NFR and seeing the top equine athletes compete at the highest level.

Isaac enjoys The World's Greatest Horseman each year because that competition shows how amazing horses are and what they are capable of doing.

7) Kit and Isaac both favor 90’s country music and corn nuts while road-tripping to competitions!

8)In 2022, the Johnsons are most looking forward to kicking off their second A Horseman’s Academy at their new facility in Purcell!

The FullBucket team could not be more proud to welcome Kit and Isaac Johnson to the equine ambassador team. Being able to partner with such dedicated and competent horsemen and women is one of our greatest joys.

Follow along @fullbuckethealth and @rockin_x so you don’t miss a thing! We know there will be lots to share.
